Our Verdict
The women's Montane Alpine Guide Gloves provide a good amount of warmth for such a low weight and the micro grid fleece lining feels incredibly soft against your skin.
Montane have placed PrimaLoft Gold ECO Insulation in the back of the hands and fingers and covered the whole glove with Granite Stretch softshell fabric which allows for unrestricted movement and high levels of durability.
Goat leather has been used on the palm, full fingers and thumb for tough yet supple abrasion resistance with an extra overlay on the palm and fingers in maximum wear areas. Handy for those who regular use ice climbing equipment or poles.
The cuffs feature a smart velcro fastening with a small amount of elastication on the bottom. Overall a nice fit and a great technical, insulated softshell glove for climbing and hiking.
