We took our original waterproof sock and beefed it up to take on both the cold and rain. Wet feet can lead to all sorts of not-so-good things outdoors, including numbness, blisters, and frostbite. Our Waterproof Cold Weather Mids will keep you dry and warm in leaky waders, through stream crossings, and in rain, snow, and mud. Our Verdict
Sealskinz' Waterproof Cold Weather Mid Length Socks are a great option for emergency waterproof layers or to be combined with not waterproof footwear on wet days. The materials have improved greatly in recent years, softening up and becoming more comfortable, but they still have a very obvious neoprene feel to them. The recent changes to making this a cold weather version mean that the merino lining makes them much more comfortable for walking and prolonged wear.
With added warmth and zoned padding these Cold Weather socks are suited to cold conditions around winter. They are versatile enough for late autumn and early spring conditions but for anyone who has naturally warmer feet that will be the limit for them. Alternatively, if you suffer from particularly cold feet these will make a big difference.
