Our Verdict
Black Diamond's Spot Lite is a really powerful headlamp for the money. The IPX 8 waterproof rating means that you can use it in any conditions and if you drop it in a deep puddle it's not an instant game over.
On the medium setting it will light up your path up to 32 metres away that's great for following trails in the dark as you get those extra miles in before setting up camp. A quick blast of the max power setting will help you see up to 62 metres away allowing you to spot close landmarks to help you get your bearings.
