Our Verdict
LifeStraw's Personal Water Filter is a fantastic way to drink water safely when you're in more remote areas. The simple but effective straw design is compact, simple to use and easy to stow away when not in use. You simply remove the caps from both ends, put the wide end into the water you want to filter (in a bottle or straight from the source) and suck on the top like a normal straw. The hollow fibre membrane inside traps any unwanted particles and removes the vast majority or protozoa and bacteria too. Caps at both ends so dirt doesn't get in when it is being stored and a lanyard allows you to keep it handy.
