Granite Gear Blaze wins Backpacker Magazine Gold Award

Backpacker Magazine has awarded the Granite Gear Blaze 60 multi-day backpack with the Editor's Choice award for 2019. The Editor's Choice is a Gold Award, which recognises that the Blaze 60 is an update of Granite Gear's original Blaze AC 60, which won Backpacker's Editor's Choice award in 2011. A three pound backpack that comfortably carries 50 pounds, the Blaze 60 stands out among many others that are competitive in the field. "Granite Gear's new Blaze 60 nails the sweet spot for lightweight backpacks," said Backpacker Editor-in-chief Dennis Lewon. "It delivers meaningful weight saving without compromising comfort or durability."

Standout features of the backpack include an all new Air Current frame sheet with specific adjustment points to lock in exact torso size, the Re-Fit fully adjustable dual-density hip belt, a hidden front-access zipper, larger side pockets and Granite Gear's custom 210D Robic high tenacity nylon inter-woven with UHMWPE triple ripstop fabric. Representing 21% of the overall material in the 210D fabric areas, the UHMWPE has been placed in load bearing and high impact and abrasion areas to make it as durable as possible. The Blaze 60 is available in Unisex fit in size Short, Regular and Long weighing respectively 2.9lbs, 3lbs and 3.1lbs and Women's-Specific fit in Short and Regular weighing 2.9lbs and 3lbs. Torso lengths fit 15-24 inches and the backpack has a volume of 60 litres with a 50lbs load rating. Available in three color ways: Black/Black Gingham, Pottery Clay/Brown Gingham and Black/Black Gingham/Teal (women's).
