The Cross Runner offers a soft, stretchy jacket with freedom of movement for faced paced activities. A wind blocking front and breathable back make for an excellent jacket.

The Cross Runner Jacket has a slim silhouette, but utilizes a material with superior stretch throughout the garment. This provides excellent fit and great mobility. The front of the jacket blocks cold wind and the back of the jacket release built up heat, making this a great piece for cold weather trail running.
Our Verdict
Montbell's Cross Runner Jacket is a perfect jacket for anyone after a versatile top for more intense activities outdoors. The zoned fabrics provide protection, warmth and breathability where they are needed most. The stretchy fabric allows freedom of movement while the fit on the arms and elasticated cuffs prevent it from riding up when you're running.
As far as performance goes, this jacket is brilliant. The zoned material on the front and back work really well at protecting you from the wind, providing enough warmth in cold conditions and allowing heat out on the back. The fit isn't overly slim and athletic, particularly round the midriff so, if you prefer a more generous cut this is definitely a great option. If you are after a figure hugging jacket for running you need to bear that in mind.
