Our Verdict
Petzl's Bindi Headlamp gives an unbelievably strong beam of light for such an ultralight weight light. It provides you with up to 200 Lumens on the maximum setting, 100 Lumens on medium and 5 Lumens on the lowest setting, plus some extra flashing and red light settings. All of this comes in a ridiculous 33g package!
The thin elasticated headband is much more comfortable than expected even for running and it is easily adjusted to stay in place. The light itself can be moved by swiveling it but it is also firm enough that it doesn't move around when walking or running.
The small size and water resistant casing mean that it has a small USB charge cable but this is easy to use and with a bit of planning means the use of batteries is bypassed. It charges up pretty quickly and the battery life is good for such a small head torch. On full beam the battery lasts just 2 hours but even when running at night I found that 200 Lumens was overkill so swapping between the medium and low beam, depending on the terrain, was all I needed and the battery would last for well over 5 hours.
